Show your love for our wild world this Valentine’s Day and help find a mate for Romeo, the world’s loneliest frog! When biologists in Bolivia brought Romeo the Sehuencas Water Frog into captivity 10 years ago, they knew the species was likely in trouble, but didn’t know they wouldn’t find another individual in all of these years. Today Romeo is the sole Sehuencas Water Frog known in existence.
Make a donation today to help us raise our goal of $15,000 before Valentine’s Day to get biologists out in the field to find a mate for Romeo. With your support, the Bolivian Amphibian Initiative will send 10 expeditions to the streams and rivers where the Sehuencas Water Frog was once common to look for individuals to establish a conservation breeding program. Match, the world’s largest relationship company, will match each donation from February 9 until Valentine’s Day. To give Romeo a platform and bring his story to life, Match has created a profilefor the amphibious bachelor where singles can learn more about him and his quest for love.
